November 6, 2009 - 10m25d - Paté Chinois!

Also known as Sheppard's Pie. However, you will probably never hear me call it this because paté chinois is my favorite comfort food. My mom used to make it often when I was a child and to this day, my brother and sister probably have this as their comfort food as well!

Paté chinois (the way we make it) is basically ground beef, creamed corn and mashed potatoes on top. It was a cold November day today, so it was a perfect time to eat some yummy comfort food! Daddy also made it which made it even better because he is an awesome cook and well, I got to play with Lily while he made it.

The dish coming out of the oven:

And after I put her bowl down with a spoon, it didn't take long for Lily to go to town and look like this:

This one looks a little weird, that's because I had the flash on and poor Lily got it right in the eyes!

  1. I am so glad I found this blog. My son(child #5) is fixing to start solids and I was not wanting to puree foods. I started reading on the baby led solids and somehow found this blog on Google! SO glad to see some pics/blog of a baby eating whole foods. Hopefully I can blog about the foods he eats. Thank you for blogging about this.I think your doing a great job!

    Many Blessings,
